Time to focus

As we approach year end and with the Series B closing process underway, it’s time to begin to map out what 2023 will look like for us. This upcoming year will be unlike the past as we have no more excuses, no more foundational work left to do. This is the year where we pull all the growth levers we have at our disposal to deliver on a lofty target for recurring technology revenue.

Over these next few weeks, we as a management team will be deconstructing our business from top to bottom, leaving no stone unturned and keeping nothing sacred as we determine how best to structure each team's roles and responsibilities with an eye towards revenue generation. We have a broker dealer, an investment advisory, a marketplace, a software business, and a data business, and all of them have generated revenue in the past to help get us to where we are today. In this market of overall uncertainty, the key is going to be focus as we have the option of doing everything just okay or we can do a select number of things extremely well. It's highly likely that coming out of this exercise, many of you will be tasked with new responsibilities you've never done before or you may be doubling down on specific parts of your role today that are mission critical for our next phase of growth.

Above all else, our goal will be to provide you with clarity around what's next. The outcome of these meetings and discussions will be presented to the board at our next meeting and the goal will be to share it with all of you in the November all-hands.

These are the times at a startup that are by far the most exciting - we can reimagine and reinvent ourselves and we alone are in control of our own destiny ✨
